New book explores gypsy magic, spells, and divination
Bigfork, MT – Flathead Valley writer, Cristina Aguilar Friar, and Publish America in Frederick MD, announce the release of a new book “Gypsy Wisdom – a simple guide to card readings, spells and potions.”
Cristina’s summer visits to Spain when she was a teenager inspired “Gypsy Wisdom.” The book is a combination of old and new methods of divination and magic as told by a grandmother and her best friend. Both ladies lived in cave dwellings in the village of Alcala de Guadaria, Spain. They shared their knowledge of how divination works with words of wisdom and everyday common sense. In the dwellings of the gypsies Cristina recieved her first lessons in divination. For 33 years Cristina has studied and practiced divination as a hobby for 33 years.
The book describes how to read regular playing cards, and gives meaning to the Major Arcana in the Tarot cards. Cold readings are explained in a chapter about a palm reader who uses simple deductive reasoning to give a reading.
The book has several love recipes, including Cristina’s own recipe for Love Potion #9 and explores how and if spells and potions really work.
